Grooms his hair with her fingers. He was looking a little disheveled. // @bakehyo
He really ought to not leave himself unchecked. While it was a touch embarassing, he wouldn’t deny the comfort that such gesture provided. He felt safe. Cared for. Relieved. Someone is looking after him during a time wherein he’d rather think about everyone but himself. Try as he might to mask away the shyness, in the end, a smile came triumphant. He gave her an acknowledging nod before tapping her chin lightly.

“H-hey!”
Wow! Wasn’t Riku supposed to be her big sis or something? Didn’t she claim that as some title for the young teen? With a small pout of her cheeks, she rubs at her hand gently where Riku bit. By all accounts it wasn’t a hard bite, but she still had fangs. There was still a small sting.
Nicole couldn’t help but pout when she finally looked back at the Miqo’te. “Sheesh...I jus’ wanted ta see how sof’ yer tail was...” The Viera she grew up with don’t have tails. So to say she was enamored by the slow swaying of Riku’s tail was an understatement.

Time has passed in more ways than one. The people of Nagxia had seen improvements in their daily lives. Even so, like many others who had suffered from Garlean Empire occupation, some wounds refuse to heal. It is not her battle to speak. Not her grudge to hold. However, the citizenry of Nagxia became a crucial part of her life, like brothers and sisters outside The Woods. It is to her understanding that The Eorzean Alliance are seeking the opinion of their Eastern neighbors on what to do next. Whether they can help the citizens of Garlemald or continue to condemn them for the suffering their people had wrought. Either way, they cannot be faulted, this she knew and would not budge against.
Thus, it confused her as to why she was the person that was sought out. Mayhaps because the Nagxian leaders cannot be persuaded. Regardless, what better would it do to seek a mere witch? An outsider to their affairs? Yes, she had become an essential part of their fold, but not even time can change that she did not belong here. "I see. This letter is from your leaders?" She had just finished reading through the scroll. Good tidings that lives were saved and salvaged, but to those who are hurt, it only means a continuation of an endless nightmare they're still living in. "Tell me, Champion... what do you think when you see these people?" The Nagxians barely have any land. Their population thinner than most. "What do you see? What is reflected in that eyes of yours who've seen Creation's End?"

“You are mine.”
This amused the reaper as he showed off his canines and the rest of his sharp teeth before raising an eyebrow to the other before him. "Oh am I now? And what makes you think that hmmm?" He was curious to know if the other could tame this dragon as his tail swayed in anticipation.

RE : & @bakehyo.
SHE IS ... EXHAUSTED. The product of every war that has been waged since the moment she had stepped foot out of that carriage, what seems so long ago. From the coils left behind by Bahamut to the very edges of the universe they now had to traverse, despair and death had licked at her heels all the way. And even still, she cannot comprehend the weight that must be placed upon her comrade’s shoulder : for whatever the Scion’s themselves had been made to bear on their backs for the sake of greater good, the pressure was only that much more pronounced for the Warrior of Light. She would never deign to belittle her role in these battles, nor her efforts to build her character as had been spurned in the First, but she would find it hard pressed to miss the irony in her being the one to receive comfort from the hero of it all.
“There have been a great many times I’ve almost found all of it too hard to bear.” Earnestly, Alisaie raises her arms to make a rather dramatic show of her statement, flinging them into the space before her with a grimace. They fall back over her knees almost as quickly and she slumps. Old Sharlayan is so blissfully quiet at night. She’s beginning to enjoy the silence more, the longer these fights rage on. After a drawn out sigh, she looks over at her, now. Her eyes narrow as she’s lost in thought. “But there’s always a reason to bear it, nonetheless. Hard as pushing forward may be, harder still would it be to give up. On this world, on our plans, on each other.”
She had been stubbornly independent, once. At times, she still is. But things had changed since then. She regards her once more with a crease in her brow : for a moment, her exhaustion is lost to concern.
“It’s not me I’m afraid for. It’s you.” She doesn’t think it a shocking statement. Though she may never be so good as her brother at putting her feelings to words, she cared for Riku, loved her even, in the same way she loved Alphinaud. The Scions had become such dear friends, but it always seemed her family was cursed to bear the greatest burdens. It scares her. “Sometimes I find myself wondering if this will be it. If this will be the fight that you decide it is all too much for you to carry. Try as we might to lighten your burdens, the world has always had its eyes on you. If you were to buckle beneath that despair—“
Alisaie falls silent. There’s much left unsaid there, but she does not know how to say it. So she bows her head, in solemn what-ifs.
“Speak up, when you begin to find it hard to keep going.”
“If I hit this bullseye will you have a drink with me?”
@bakehyo ( unprompted ask )
"Oh, you're charmin'. Y'know I'll drink with you any day. What's this need to impress me, hero?" Though finding it silly given that they're The Warrior of Light and could definitely hit the mark, Hilda still calculated the distance between them and the target. Not bad. She could definitely aim at the center even with her eyes closed, but most would still struggle without any sort of training. Preparing her firearm, she slowly walked in front of the Miqo'te. Her crimson eyes glowed with boundless surety as she fired the weapon on the mark situated far behind her without ever removing her inviting stare from The Warrior of Light. "Go on, then. Land where exactly my bullet did and I'll consider it." Dead center as expected.
