some of my favourite assets i did for baker's panic with our team, gamebutter! our gamejam (haha get it) game made in 2 days for pixel jam 2024! 🍰🥧🍞

it was a lot of fun to work on with my team and we all had a good time doing so :]! learnt alot about the game dev pipeline and am surprised with what i was able to do with 10 mins per item :0!

A Brand New Adventure

The berries were always the first to load.

The rest of the world would still be covered in a blurry mist, but no matter what the weather would be like that day, those full, red orbs would be right outside the window, gleaming with sunlight. Only then, the furniture would start materialising pixel by pixel, followed by the ingredients for my next batch of cakes. By the time the landscape outside the window would be completed—the berries still a prominent patch of colour—there would be no more time for me to admire it. I was expected to finish a record amount of cakes, at the same time drawing enough customers into my sweet little tearoom to sell them all.

It didn’t feel fair. I got to observe those damned berries every single day, sometimes several times a day as my world reloaded, but I’d never discovered anything else outside my kitchen. Customers kept telling me how beautiful the tearoom’s garden was, but even when I was serving them a piece of cake on the terrace, I couldn’t catch more than a glimpse.

Surely I’d baked enough cakes and seen enough berries; surely it was time to head out and live my own adventure—

Fear grasped at my heart as the world reloaded once more, and shiny red letters appeared in the mist just above the berries:
