Una nuova vita alla pietra
Udine (Friuli). Piazza XX Settembre. Historical square of Udine, valued, but abandoned by the citizens themselves, remains on the edge of the historic center. The market is currently held there. The square is connected to the ups and downs of Della Torre family, enemies of the Venetian Republic, condemned for their counter-power to the demolition of their palace, in the eighteenth century, then rehabilitated by the French revolutionaries. The square became public in 1868 and was used as a grain market (Plàzze dai Grans). From ancient times resists the balaustrade ("vera") of the well of the Confraternity of S. Maria dei Battuti.
