San Sperate (Cagliari, Sardinia). Megalithic museum, Sonic garden of Pinuccio Sciola. Wonder selection number 2. Sciola has been studied so much in nuragic culture. The subjects of this selection show the traditional Pintadera (which used to decorate garments, foods, even the body), the fireside (which revives the nights in the garden), light geometries (nuraghi and even Prenuragic civilization were attentive to alignments of the sun and the stars), the seed (which is synonymous with life), accompanied by one of the evocative avenues of the museum/garden. The last time I met Sciola at the end of 2013, I had to say "lupus in fabula" because the night before I had started writing an article about him, about a lesson that he did at the University at the invitation of prof. Perugia (Umbria). Piazza Grande. Fontana Maggiore (1275). The oldest square in the city, embarrassingly beautiful, since there is no corner that is not worthy of interest. The asymmetric square, formerly Foro Romano, houses one side of the Palazzo dei Priori, the Fontana Maggiore, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Loggia di Braccio Fortebracci, the Podestà's palace, the archbishop's palace. The five main streets branch off from it. At the center of the square is the Fontana Maggiore (gothic), a work of the second half of the thirteenth century by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano. The decorations evoke, in the complex iconological message, the political and cultural program of the Perugian Commune. Made of Assisi stone. It includes 50 bas-reliefs and 24 statues. In the lower basin are represented the months of the year with the signs of the zodiac and the scenes of the agrarian tradition and of the feudal culture, the liberal arts and characters of the Bible and of the history of Rome. Perugia (Umbria). Corso Vannucci. National Gallery of Umbria. The Pietro Vannucci course is an open-air museum together with the Piazza Grande (even the beautiful cities use to ruin their historic toponymy renaming streets and squares with war denominations, I will not cite the current name of the square ... And to think we are talking about the city of Capitini), but it also hosts museums as such, like the National Gallery of Umbria. Needless to say, it preserves the largest collection of works of Umbrian art and some of the most significant works of art in central Italy, from the 13th to the 19th century. It was founded in the 16th century in the Convent of the Olivetans in Montemorcino. In 1878 it was transferred to the Palazzo dei Priori. In 1918 it became a State Museum, therefore the centenary occurs. The works are exhibited in forty rooms on two floors of the building. It hosts the major Italian artists, we mention only Giotto, Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Mantegna, Pinturicchio, the Perugino (Pietro Vannucci).
