Why did Ranboo take off his armor?: a theory
no one asked for this but I talking anyway.
a bit of context: this guess is based off the fact that I have only seen techno’s stream and some of Tommy’s stream where dream came back and he met ghost boo. as I am writing this, I am waiting for Sam’s Saturday stream. I do not know if Tubbo has done any more lore on why Ranboo may have taken off his armor, and I have not seen any of Phil’s, though I plan to.
On to the theory:
My original thought was mind control, but how would Sam, Bad, or anyone other than Dream know how to do that?
The awnser: they didn’t.
Because Ranboo took his armor off of his own free will.
Ranboo gave Techno a map of his adopted son, Michael, correct? Of course I am. But he gave it to him right after they got out of the prison. It may have been in Ranboo’s enderchest, but why take up precious inventory space to hold a picture of his son, when it could have just stayed safe in his chest? He surely didn’t have in his inventory when he was in prison.
Ranboo got the map from Sam as a threat in the moment they were on the beach.
Sam knew about Michael, saying he had him when Eret had Michael last, that we know of. He also knew that Ranboo loved his son enough to risk himself and take the threat of violence over Michael seriously.
Ranboo was willing to risk himself for Michael and take Sam seriously, as he did have a picture of him as a threat to Ranboo.
