This is a sad drabble about Harry shaving his head. Please please keep your mental health in mind before reading.
"I'm fine, honestly Lou," Harry reassured his husband, placing his phone on speaker so he could continue getting dressed. "Management thought it would be the perfect time to try something new in case it didn't work out." "But do you like it?" Louis asked, causing the knot in Harry's chest to grow tighter. "It's- an adjustment," he murmured, pulling his trousers on and discarding his towel. "I'll get used to it." Louis murmured something in protest as Harry made his way over to his bathroom mirror and reached for his hair brush. He froze, his hand hovering over the hair brush as he looked down at it, a choked sob escaping him. "Haz?" Louis called urgently, his voice muffled on the phone speaker as Harry finally looked up at the mirror. Another sob escaped him, this time much louder as he sank to his knees, one hand covering his mouth as the other moved to touch his head. His curls, his beautiful curls that he had had for as long as he could remember, were gone. He didn't recognize himself without them, didn't want to recognize himself without them. They were a part of him, something he used to express himself when he couldn't verbally. And they were gone. "You're going to be okay, baby," he could vaguely hear Louis saying, "I'll be there as soon as possible. Everything's going to be okay."
