Visualising Balance in the Force

Balence looks a lot more like this:

The red outer edges of the first gradient can never be destroyed. They are as natural as the blue center. And it is difficult to remain at the center—pulled on all sides by various kinds of selfishness and malice (fear, greed, hate, anger, guilt). If you could just run all the way to one side of every issue, and stay there forever, being a good person would be easy. Simple.

But it’s not simple or easy, most of the time. You have to think hard and become a complicated adult person if you want to do find the way to be good. Good is harder than evil, unselfishness is harder than selfishness, and Star Wars has always said so. It also says that the goodness, the unselfishness, the balance within it, is singularly worth the effort.
