What is a "place of one's heart"? . I cannot express how I miss being in #Bali. The sweet smelling, hot, air. Lots of temples and the beauty of the statues. The kind, sweet, smiling, awesome #balipeople, and their #spirituality. The amazing food. The birds, the monkeys, #frangipani and other flowers. I think about the #islandofgods every day. And every day is more painful. I felt home there, more than everywhere else. Bali is definitely a place of my heart! What are yours? . . . Without question, my favorite thing about Bali are the people. Balinese people have very little when it comes to physical possessions. They don’t have flat-screen televisions or the latest iPhones. They don’t drive fancy cars. They don’t have a lot of money. They don’t even have their own bedrooms. BUT they have love for everyone and everything on this planet. They understand what it means to be kind. They have a sense of humor like nothing I’ve ever seen. They have peace of mind, which allows for true happiness. They have huge hearts. They have infectious smiles and contagious laughs. It also seems like they strive to be better human beings. Cheers to the beautiful Balinese people who stole my heart. I wish that everyone on this planet could be a little bit more like them.
