you gotta remember a lot of characters are delusional. like they cling to that shit or they couldn't go on. like balls warframe. he valued his continuing obsession with margulis most of all, so everything has to revolve around it, and if it doesn't, actually it does (it doesn't). anything in the way of his beautiful dream is a menace and it's never his fault when things diverge from the ideal he imagines. he'll blame children. he'll even blame margulis herself. but he thinks he did everything right. it's not his fault people responded badly, or so he thinks.
little known fact: the most formidable security asset in the sanctum is actually loid and his ekhein
You cannot tell me the Drifter did not put up a show for the ventkids like this. Inspired by Disney's Robin Hood's song Phoney King of England.
Ballas (Warframe)
Punt him into the Sun?
PUNT!
Don't punt!
with warframe nostalgia so i drew warframe :)
For part 3,I dabble in thought about Nidus being the remains of Ordan Karris.
I think Ballas Nidus poem is actually about two people. Foundling is talking about either the Sentients OR talking about the Tenno. We know the zariman was meant to journey to Tau.
The 2nd part, he's talking to Nidus. I have this other thought that the reason we're hearing Ballas talk when it's Primes is because he's the one who created the warframes, and the Primes are the originals.
Now, the reason why I think it's likely he's actually talking to the Tenno in the first part is because of the design on Nidus Prime's torso.
It is UNCANNY IN SIMILARITY. Normal Nidus has this too, just not on his Phryke skin, I think.
A scarred warrior, transformed into a constantly adapting, regenerating howling beast.
I think Ballas, to add insult to injury on top of everything he did to Ordan, he made Nidus in his own image. The golden right arm, dipped in blue on his body. The scar worn as a sash. Hell, even looking at Ballas' model, he and Nidus Prime kind of look similar. That was not an accident on Ballas' part.
And yes, I do think the Triuna is absolutely related to Ordan's "blood in ruin". It somehow leading to being able to synthesize a resistance to the infestation would be very on brand for Ordan, the man who adapts, the man with the plan. Even in death, he resists. You can only pass on the triuna through blood transfusion. Whereas the infestation usually just needs to touch you, it seems.
And then we get to part 4, where I attempt to piece together what Ordan's reoccurring Dream actually was, and how he'd be able to have it without ever having contacted the void and/or the man in the wall. STAY TUNED...
(umbra also needed kuva to be made, but I think DE was trying to misdirect us, while also making us think. Ballas made himself personally hated by the Dax that Umbra used to be, and he personally tormented him. Much like how he personally tormented Ordan/Ordis. I think Ballas just loves breaking beasts.)
look
i apologize in advance for not getting the kilt accurately right, i panicked halfway through and improvised, created a mash-up with ballas’ orokin fashion.
i just listened to the superliminal dr glenn pierce voice lines with my friend and we couldn’t stop thinking about scottish ballas, and then the idea of drawing ballas wearing a kilt kept festering, so i.... drew this.
nobody asked but i felt like i had to explain my reasoning here weuzgfuwf
