Upgraded from a Ender v3 Pro to a Bambu Labs A1, and it's really quite depressing how strongly Bambu wants you to create an account and use their proprietary cloud. Oh, the printer will still work offline, and it prints fast from local slices loaded on the SD card, but you cannot download models from Bambu MakerWorld without creating an account, in-browser or in-slicer.

my dad is super into it lol. he found a filament for investment casting and is super into that idea, and is asking me to print gadgets for his car. I’m leaning freecad now cuz fusion360 doesn’t work so good on my arch machine (hold ur applause). this shit was, after all, hype af
