Lemme make a list! Even if they make me unapologetically happy, because I don’t think I have to apologize for things that make me happy. EVen if they’re cringey, they are what they are and they make me what they make me.
In no particular order:
Reading new books and discovering new worlds to get lost into.
Making my people happy. I’m a people pleaser, and I love to see my people happy.
Christmas. The holidays also make me really sad, but they’re my favorite time of the year.
Writing. It’s probably one of the things that make me happiest in this world.
Watching horrible reality shows. Like one where people got married blindly and they had to cohabitate for a month to decide whether or not they should remain married.

Oooh that’s an interesting question. I have been asked this same question a couple more times, so I’m actually replying to all of them because I do have several gifts that I love to bits and pieces.
One of the best gifts I have ever received was a picture my sister made, a photoshop combination of my face and Taylor Hanson’s face. SOunds cringey? It really isn’t. Taylor Hanson has been my crush forever, and back when she wasn’t working and didn’t have money on her own, she actually gave me that with a frame and everything. It is placed along with other pictures in a place of honor at home, and I love it so much!
I saw your answer about quitting smoking for good. Please share (only if your are comfortable) your pointers. I have been trying to quit for the whole of 2020 but every time I get stressed it’s back to a pack in 2 days 😫.

Like you, I was smoking more than a pack a day (almost 2/day on weekends, my lungs hurt just thinking about it D: ) when I was about to move to another city. Bc we rarely saw each other, I had decided to go on vacation with my parents ahead of the move. On our way to our vacation destination we visited relatives, one of them a heavy smoker. I smoked what would be my last cigarette in his company after lunch and on a whim I decided to throw the pack (still half full) in the trash.
My parents didn’t smoke anymore and I thought “I just won’t smoke during this vacation, if it’s getting too hard, I can always buy new cigarettes”.
Well, turned out I didn’t actually miss it (I know, I’m suuuper lucky), and after my move to the new city, I got lucky again. There wasn’t a single smoker in my new circle of friends, so pretty much zero temptation to start smoking again when we spent time together or went out.
It’s been mumble mumble years now, and I haven’t felt tempted to smoke even once, and I can’t imagine I ever will again.
I know that this isn’t “normal" tho. My brother quit more than once and always started again after a while. I think it’s been about 5yrs now, which is probably the longest he’s gone without smoking since he started at 14, but he’s told me he still misses it sometimes. I don’t. Not at all.
So yeah, endlessly grateful that I was able to give it up without any struggles or relapses, I know how damn lucky I am!

ok *takes deep breath* the Dutch government are a bunch of weak bitches and only *suggest* people wear masks because “we’re all sensible adults” and of course most people ignore the suggestions. covid infections are rising fast and the prime minister even said last night it’s “worse than America right now” - so that’s saying something. And STILL the facebook crazies protest the corona rules, saying they’re being *forced* to wear a “muzzle” and that the ‘main stream media’ is getting paid to scare people into behaving the way the government wants. I can’t with these people. they wouldn’t know oppression if if punched them in the face, yet here they are every damn week, protesting and ‘fighting for their freedom’ while waving Dutch flags around. (that’s how you recognise the racists and the crazies around here - Dutch flags all over the place, and a tractor and Greek temple in their twitter bio)

I’ve wanted a tattoo of the Charmed sign (I’m sure it has an actual name but i only know it as the Charmed sign) on my wrist for absolutely AGES but I’m too scared to get it done (and also too broke but that’s another story)

I bought hairdye right before the lockdown actually but never got around to actually doing it. and now i’m back at work and I’m not sure if my boss would be cool with it... but anyway I have red, purple, and a green-ish blue. so one of those probably.
