SO! I come bearing gifts to the Resident Evil fandom. I blame @polarspaz and their Infected Leon Aus (RookieBug is my newest obsession frfr) so I wanted to do my own version!
So why is Leon a dragon you may ask? Well because I am me. In this AU, Leon when he first went to Raccoon City, is just a normal Wyvern. He is a Dragon Shifter. In this universe those are extremely rare, so he tries not to shift a lot. I'll go more into detail about Dragon Leon during RE2 later because I do have his design mostly done!
Now, during RE4, as we all know, Leon goes to save Ashley and gets infected with Las Plagas. Unlike in the normal game though, things go VERY wrong VERY fast. He is immediately forced to shift as his entire biology starts having an internal warfare going on between his dragon side and the Plagas. It is extremely painful to Leon, especially since the process has him forcefully growing brand new limbs. And also breaking his jaw. Great times!
Eventually though, his dragon side actually WINS! HURRAY! Unfortunately, he is stuck with the new changes, but the Plagas is at least dormant now, forced into submission by Leon's dragon. The rest of the game is pretty much the Plagas and Leon trying to have a sort of symbiotic relationship.
Anyway, to ramble more about the design! Leon's lower jaw has basically been split and can separate, only connected by a pretty loose flap of skin that stretches when he opens his mouth. His flesh is now a grey-blue color, because his blood is actually extremely toxic now! That is what actually comes out of his stinger lol. Originally Leon had two wings and two hind legs, like a normal wyvern. But with the additions, he now has TWO pairs of arms, one pair of hind legs, and TWO pairs of wings. Three segments of his carapace on his neck can split open. I...haven't quite decided why yet, I just really needed them to do it. His original horns turned into the two antennas on his forehead! They're extremely sensitive to vibrations, and he can pick up someone talking by vibrations alone from like three rooms down, maybe even further.

Yesterday, I took my two cats (the voidlings pictured above) to the vet. Unfortunately, they have issues that will require surgery...
For that reason, I'm opening up YCH commissions.
These are simpler pieces with characters in a predetermined position. For that reason, they are fairly quick to finish!

A Lil doodle to give y'all an idea of how big InfectedDragon!Leon is lol. He a big boy! And cause I'm like 90% sure most of y'all came from @polarspaz, and cause I thought it'd be hilarious, this is how I imagine their Infected Leons would react seeing InfectedDragon!Leon lmao! 'WTF IS THAT??'
And Ashley, who is at this point unfazed by anything Leon at this point (she was actually there when he first shifted, twas not fun for either of them lol) so she's completely used to him. V nonchalant lol.
So yeah! When Leon first got infected, his height spiked up by about 5 feet lol. As a rookie in RE2 his dragon form was 14'5", and then in RE4 (before infection) he was 19'0". Buddy got a big ol boost. (Also! These are his heights by the top of his skull, not his shoulders, in a relaxed position, so if he stood up very straight he'd def be even taller.)

Below the cut for my rambles about this baby boy!
So! Leon is a Dragon Shifter, was born as one by one full blooded shifter and a regular human. So those with diluted blood, particularly with long lived and slow aging creatures, their growths are a little different. They age along with their human form. So Leon, in this case, is pretty big. Bro can't really fit in the halls of RPD, leaving him to navigate primarily in his human form.
Also, the RPD has NO idea Leon is a shifter, cause he has kept that shit on LOCK. The only reason why parts of his RPD uniform fit on his dragon body is cause he commissioned a buddy of his to enchant it to grow in size with him when he shifts. Thank you mysterious werewolf wizard or something o7.
As a pretty young dragon, his scales and colors are very vibrant. He takes a large amount of pride in his appearance, with his scales glittering like gold because of the different flecks on them. (Part of the reason why he is very upset when bro gets infected and wildly mutates, he hardly recognizes himself).
So, Leon's dragon form is capable of breathing fire, and while yes it's hot, it is NOT as hot as other much older dragons, as they get more powerful as they age. When Leom eventually gets infected with the Plagas, he's not longer able to breath fire. Instead, similar to like Deathgrippers in HtTYD (ty one commenter who said he looked like that, I legit didn't notice until u pointed it out lol) he can vomit a highly acidic venom that is capable of melting through most metals.
And why did I make Leon a Wyvern? Solely because the idea of Leon, when getting infected with the Plaga, forced to grow brand new limbs was too good to pass up. Bro went from using four limbs (not including the tail) to suddenly EIGHT? Dude doubled his limb count and hates it. He tripped a LOT in the beginning.
I have some plans for future doodles like showing the difference between RE2 Leon to RE4 pre-infected Leon, as well as maybe some character interactions, so stay tuned!! 8D
And of course, a height chart! Love me a good height chart. I do have a doodle in mind of @polarspaz 's Infected Leon's meeting my Infected Dragon Leon cause bro is so big. Like, they thought THEY'RE big? Woof, wait till they meet this bad boy who can easily stand at two stories tall lol.
It's been a while! I won't ramble too much but here's a dragon design I've been cooking up for a Kn8 Dragon Rider au! This is Reno's dragon! A very hot headed and arrogant dragon, they balance each other out...somehow.

This one was finished pretty quickly! May I present: Narumi's dragon! He is rather shy and gentle, and mature, more so than his rider lol. He is like 99% of Narumi's impulse control. Once again, thank you @iizuumi for cheering me on! Also! I have been struggling with names for these dragons, so if y'all got ideas I'm open to hear them!
It's Time guys (pun intended)! He is finally finished! Western Dragon won the poll for Time, and so a Western Dragon he is! He was a lot of fun to design for, and I'm glad I could somewhat incorporate his Ocarina (why his tail is blue and he has 'holes' along his body). People say when he swings his tail, a musical whistle sounds. I'm excited to make Sky next when his poll ends!
