Forget tracing and sawing out every slat for a ladder back chair, we use this plexiglass jig on walnut. It uses a small brass finger mounted under the guides that protrudes past the blade 0.030" or so. This is what guides the cut against the plexi. At that tolerance, the approach angle is critical as to not cut the pattern. Wanna see how we do things here in the shop?
