#WatRachanatdaram (Built1846) is a very beautiful temple with the famous #LohaPrasat (iron monastery). The white building at the corner is the first pawnshop in Bangkok, called Samranrat Pawnshop , established in 1866 by a Chinese named Hong Saebae. The first commercial name of this pawnshop is in chinese "YongSieng".
The first loan rate at that time is around 3.12%/month. In 1868, the Pawnshop Law was set and controlled the loan rate to 1.25%.
