5. Is there a character you find particularly difficult to write? Which one? On the flip-side, which character flows most easily for you when writing?
When I started off in this fandom, I found Thorin the least difficult to write, but longer I go at it the better I become at translating my Bilbo to page, too. Bard pours from my fingers with a weary sort of ease, as well - his character is probably closest to my own of any of them, so many times it feels more like writing myself. My Frerin from Per Aspera also forms on the page with a startling clarity, without me really having to think about it, but I suppose his characterisation is as much my own creation as it is anything else, so I don’t know if that counts.
I struggle immensely with Thranduil, Tauriel, and with Dwalin. I have to force myself past the walls into uncomfortable territory with the three of them - their responses don’t come naturally to me at all, which really throws off the flow of my writing. But I persevere, particularly with Thranduil - perhaps one day I will get there!
