You’re just about to start cooking dinner when you realise that you’re a few ingredients too short. Sighing in frustration, you grab your phone and type up every ingredient you’re missing in a memo pad. Once you’re done, you grab your keys before making your way toward your room where your boyfriend is taking a nap.

“Yoongi?” you call, opening the door and walking into the room. He stirs and slowly sits up, eyes tired.

“Yeah?” he replies in the sleepy voice that makes your heart skip a beat.

“I’m off to the supermarket to grab some stuff,” you say, waving your keys sheepishly, “do you need anything?”

“Some snacks and fizzy, maybe?” he suggests. You nod your head and give him a smile.

“I’ll see you in a few, then. Sorry for waking you,” you say and start heading out but before you do, Yoongi calls your name.

He gestures his hand toward a piece of clothing that’s hanging on your desk chair, “take my jacket, it’s cold outside.”

You could grab any jacket since you’re in your house, but Yoongi knows you well. You either usually forget to wear one or don’t bother to grab anything warm. Plus, you love his jacket. It’s a little big just the way you like it and smells like him. It’s also extremely comfortable as well as stylish.

And although he won’t ever say it out loud, you know he loves seeing you in his clothes.

“How would you know?” you tease, while grabbing his jacket and putting it on, “you’ve been in bed since you got here.”

“I got here two hours ago, and it was cold,” he grumbles, “it’ll be colder now.”

You smile and walk up to him, giving him a kiss on the forehead, “thanks, Yoongi. You’re sweet.”

“I just don’t need you sneezing on me,” he huffs but you know what he really means. You giggle in response and kiss him on the nose this time. He tilts his head up a little and you know he’s expecting one on the lips. So, you give it to him.

“I’ll be back soon,” you say.

“Don’t take too long.”

Having a boyfriend with an extremely busy schedule isn’texactly the easiest. Not that relationships in general are easy; everyrelationship has an obstacle. It’s just that your obstacles are a lot harder toget over.

Long distance, for example.

In all honesty, you’re overjoyed that BTS is getting therecognition they deserve. But popularity comes with more demand from them andthey’re constantly in different places for promoting and performing. Findingtime with him is difficult, and sometimes, you find yourself questioning if yourrelationship is really worth it. However, Jungkook finds his way of showing youhow much he loves you almost every day.

You’re on the phone with him, chatting about his trip to theUS for promotions and an award show. He’s excitedly telling you stories abouttheir adventures around the country and you’re giggling at his storytelling,feeling extremely content at just hearing his voice. Jungkook’s due to comeback in a couple of days and you couldn’t be happier. Hearing his voice overthe phone like now is fine, but you can’t wait to hold him, to kiss the livingdaylights out of him, to have his presence in the room. No phone call or videocall is better than the real thing physically being there.

You’ve probably been on the phone for a good two or morehours when you decide that it may be best for the two of you to end your call.

“Anything else you need?” you ask him.

He hums in thought before replying, “can I kiss you?”

“You can’t,” you laugh, “you’ll have to wait a couple moredays for that, Jungkook.”

“Are you sure about that?”

There’s a knock on your door. Eyes widening, you walk to thefront door of your flat. And when you open the door, lo and behold, there’s Jungkookstanding there with his phone to his ear.

“What-” Jungkook interrupts you by enveloping you into a hug.

“I’ve missed you,” he whispers before giving you the kiss he asked for.

Your boyfriend has an extremely busy schedule. And while that maybe difficult, he always finds a way to remind you that he loves you enough tofit you in that schedule every day.

One thing you love about Park Jimin is the affectionate attention he always gives and expects from you. When he’s around, he always makes it his mission for you to keep your whole attention on him, such as showering you with sweet words and kisses. And when he’s not around, he’s giving you gifts.

There’s a parcel by your door when you come home from work and you smile to yourself, picking it up before unlocking your front door and getting inside. You don’t even need to look at the writing on the parcel to know who it’s from. You wonder how long ago he sent it and how he managed to hide from you the fact that he sent something to you. Jimin isn’t the best liar but when it comes to gifts, he usually seems to be good at not saying anything.

When you open the parcel after sitting on your living room couch, you pull out something wrapped in pretty blue wrapping paper, with a tiny card cello taped to it.

Video call me before you open this xxx

Rolling your eyes with a smile on your face, you set up your laptop and open up Skype. It’s around the time that the two of you usually have a Skype call, but you flick him a message on your phone just in case. If he’s unavailable, the present can wait. You know he wants you to call him so he can see you opening the gift.

Soon enough, there’s an incoming call on your Skype and you answer immediately. It takes a while to load and get in focus, but soon enough, Jimin’s face is on your screen. His smile instantly widens when he sees you.

“Hey,” he greets, lifting a small hand to give you a wave.

“I got the parcel,” you say, lifting it up, “how long ago did you send it?”

“Oh, it’s finally there,” he smiles, “I sent it about a week ago.”

“And you didn’t tell me anything?” you ask.

“I wanted it to be a surprise,” he says, giving you a shy smile, “go on, open it.”

And you do exactly so, carefully opening the present and making sure you’re not ripping the pretty paper. Jimin smiles at you fondly. After fully unwrapping the present, you lift it up. It’s a dress, a black one that sparkles under the light and is the exact length that you like. You admire it for a little before noticing that something else had dropped on your lap. It’s a necklace with a heart pendant. In your time with Jimin, you’ve noticed that there’s a theme in the jewellery he gives you; hearts.

“Oh, Jimin,” you whisper, admiring the necklace, playing with the pendant between your fingers.

“Do you like it?” he asks, “I hope you like it.”

“I love it.”

“That’s good to hear,” he says, a proud smile on his face.

“But why the dress?” you ask, “what’s the occasion?”

“I’m taking you out for dinner.”

You give him a confused look, “what? When?”

“In a week,” he smirks, “we get a little time off when we get back, so I asked my family if they wanted to meet you.”

“Oh my God, Jimin,” you sigh, a flustered blush forming on your cheeks, “you need to tell me these things earlier. I have to get mentally prepared.”

“It’s fine. You’re fine. Beautiful, in fact.”

“Oh, stop it.”

“It’s true,” he says, giving you a fond smile.

And although you’re terrified of meeting your boyfriend’s family, you know that you’d be okay with Jimin by your side and his affectionate attention that you love.

The beginning of most relationships always starts a little awkward, with the constant fear that you don’t know anything about the significant other. In Jungkook’s case, you can tell that he has no idea what to do and is afraid of acting on instinct, in fear of offending you or making you feel uncomfortable.

You find his obvious dilemma adorable.

It’s been a mere couple of days since the two of you confessed your attraction toward each other and suggested starting a romantic relationship. Your relationship is truly at its first stages. You haven’t even kissed yet, let alone held hands.

And here the two of you are, strolling down the streets of a small town, no sign of people other than the odd aunty and grandma gossiping about the younger generation. You had decided on a spontaneous drive, dragging Jungkook along to join in on your adventure. You’ve ended up in a small town, your car parked in the parking lot of the local park in the town and decided on enjoying a small stroll around the place.

And one again, you’re seeing his obvious dilemma in your peripheral vision.

He’d look at you at random times, as if he’s about to say something, before looking away again in a flustered mess, his doubts winning against instinct in his mind. You want to tell him that he has nothing to fear, that he can say anything. But, despite you knowing of his dilemma, your own doubts are also preventing you from showing him your honesty.

This goes on for a while, until the two of you end up looking at each other at the same time. Like two young characters in a shoujo manga, the both of you quickly react and break away eye contact at the speed of light. Finding this situation funny now, you let out a small, breathy laugh before turning to him.

“Something on your mind?” is the best way you can approach his dilemma and you’re wondering why you didn’t think of that sentence earlier. You could’ve skipped the act of acting like young teenagers a while ago. You swear you see Jungkook go redder than he already is, hand scratching the back of his head as he tries to figure out what to say. You can practically see the gears turning in his head.

“C-can I,” he takes a deep breath in, and a rushed sigh out, “can I hold your hand?”

You’re taken aback a little because that innocent sentence is something you didn’t expect at all. And then, for a split moment, your heart swells at how adorable he is; you can totally get used to this cute, innocent nature. But then you let every feeling loose and it starts a giggle, before you’re full-on laughing.

At your reaction, Jungkook looks embarrassed and you have to compose yourself to assure him that you’re not laughing at him. Well, not in the way he’s obviously thinking.

“Shit,” you breathe out, “you’re so fucking adorable.”

His eyes widen a little, most likely because he doesn’t know how to react. And then you reach out, grabbing his hand and intertwining your fingers. Your hands fit like a puzzle. You can’t help the blush reaching your cheeks at how perfect your hand feels in his. His hands are warm, a little sweaty from nerves, but it’s suddenly the most comforting thing ever.

The aunty and grandma are looking fondly at your intertwined hands, as the two of you continue your stroll through the small town.
