So my Dad is the grandson of an Italian market gardener, which basically means that he's got deep pockets and short arms. This means we don't throw shit out till it dies, has been brought back to life and we're sure its dead for real this time. This year my parent finally got a new dryer that they had had since before they were trying to conceive me 20 odd years ago. Talk about quality appliances hey. What I'm trying to say is that we didn’t got new shit often.
So the other day their DVD player had cacked it and they had to get a new one, like ya do. So here’s my Mum, who hasn’t looked at the price of a DVD player since pre-2007, thinking she would have to cough up $100-199 for a DVD player. No Mum. It's $28. They're practically going out of fashion.
Mum also still calls Bankwest R&I. Bankwest hasn't been trading under the name R&I since 1994 Mum.
