Donald Trump today took a visit to the Federal Reserve building in Washington DC amid renovations to their headquarters and absolutely embarrassed himself next to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on live television.
Powell gave a direct fact check to Trump attempting to inflate and over exaggerate the costs and renovations of the new Fed building. Keep in mind that Donald Trump has been threatening to fire Jerome Powell— a man he himself appointed as Fed Chair in 2017 even claiming he drafted up a letter to fire him. Seems like Jerome Powell is all out of f**** to give.
This was the conversation in front of cameras when Donald Trump tried to mention the total cost of renovations for the Fed headquarters.
Trump: It looks like it’s about $3.1 billion
Powell: I’m not aware of that.
Trump: It just came out
