I honsetly dont get the hate for Josh Chen bro like ppl have such double standards for him at least every single ml in the twisted series(except for Rhys lmaoo) did something rude or bad to fl but he didn't assult her no!!? the double standard in the fandom is actually insane to me because WHAT do you mean you can excuse christian literally stalking stella and being a weirdo to her for YEARS all while knowing she had an REAL stalker?? what do you mean you can excuse alex using ava and josh to get closer to their father and this is coming after someone who’s username is literally ‘alex volkov’s girl’ but OHHHH NOOOO JOSH GETS MAD JULES FOR LYING TO HIM WHEN BASICALLY EVERYONE IN HIS LIFE BETRAYED HIM, his father literally tried to kill his little sister, his best friend was using him the whole time, and his sister was trying to bring him and said best friend closer to eachother after she forgave said best friend for what he did. now was what he said to jules afterwards about her yk being her ‘only good feature’ fucked up? yes absolutely. she should’ve punched him. does he make it up to her? does he find out WHY she lied and then proceed to almost kill the man that pushed her off the stairs after she showed up to the ER mind you he went back to not liking her again after the whole ‘i lied’ thing? YES.

i don’t like to make every critique about all characters about race because sometimes it’s really not but in this situation i think it is insane how some people in the fandom will say that this one thing josh did makes you ‘hate his character’ where if you really apply that logic to the whole series all the men are horrible! (except for our unproblematic green forest rhys)

also fun fact when i read twisted hate for the first time i was aware that josh would ‘lie’ about something and that that thing made people hate him (from tiktok) when i first read that chapter i didn’t hate josh i thought his words were extremely fucked up but it wasn’t enough to ‘hate him and oh my god he is the devil in disguise! he should die!’ i literally texted my friend who read the twisted series before when i was in the very last chapters asking what made people dislike josh so much.

double standard is crazy cause sure i can excuse alex ivan basically made him the way he was, he watched his family get killed in his own home at only 10 or 11 years old and is physically unable to forget that scene while also acknowledging that what he did was wrong. rhys did nothing wrong. josh’s reaction was justified almost everyone in his life had betrayed him at that point. i can’t stand christian so there’s literally 0 justification for stalking stella, but he had some good moments like when he stood up for stella at her parents dinner..and that’s lowk just about.

but the way people will go to absolute LENGTHS to defend alex and christian but will completely turn blind to the idea of defending or liking josh because he ‘lied to jules’ when she was being blackmailed into lying to him because she wanted to protect him IS INSANE. you people need therapy

also let’s all be fr these are fictional characters in a fictional world. NONE of this shit would fly in real life it is literally only excused because it’s a book no sane person would forgive any of these men irl

It's official- Josh is my least favorite Twisted guy! What he did to Jules was absolutely...I can't even think of an adjective. Why on earth would she take him back?! I would've told him to take a long walk off a short pier while kicking rocks. That was incredibly messed up!

I feel so sorry for Jules- I'm so glad she was able to overcome the obstacles in her life, reinventing her life and making her dreams come true.

Also...was anyone else glad that karma got Max back ten times over?
