New painting: "Flaming Leap", acrylic on vinyl banner - this is my entry into this year's AGD Banner Up project. I have a tendency to incorporate flames into a lot of my recent art - fire is fun to draw/ paint. The concept of this is that the frog is taking such a tremendous leap that it causes flames - it's an allusion to perseverance and pushing through hard times.

45/100 I had mentioned owls a while back and here they are. Brentwood, CA, one town over, is doing a little program where artists paint a banner which they then hang at their summer festival and leave up on the streets downtown for the next three months or so.
