The huge black and gold mecha is laying on the ground so that carrion can reach it and give it the chin scritches. Banshees plated armor also begins to vibrate as a low rumble comes from it akin to a cat purring. It seems someone scratched just the right spot~

The Expansion Unit Armed Armor VN/BS for the RG Banshee. Well built expansion set. Though I normally dislike P-Bandai and the limited nature of these kits. This is definently P-Bandai worthy.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn

This one has been delayed long enough lol. This will be the overall review for the kit in both modes. To be honest, the Real Grade Gundam Banshee Norn was not a kit that I was originally keen acquiring. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the color scheme and flared v-fin design of the Banshee initially, but I admit that the design has really grown on me to the point where it’s now a top favorite of mine. Quite the 180. This setiment was only increased after building this awesome and fantastic kit.

Aesthetically, this kit is an absolute unit of gunpla. As a real grade, the surface detail is of course gold standard, and I really like that they decided to go with a dark blue and purple combo which nicely compliment the gold/yellow. However, the slight color differentation between the dark blue and purple isn’t as noticeable as on the Unicorn Gundam. Additonally, Bandai have yet to nail a solid injected plastic gold color, but the one for the RG Banshee Norn is decent.

Articulalation overall is the superb RG standard, and the joints are some of the tightest joints I’ve ever had the pleasure of handling. A little too tight at spots, but nothing a little loosening via various methods can’t fix This kit can reliable achieve and hold almost any pose you desire in both the Unicorn and NT-D modes. Handling on this kit is also great, despite the transformation feature. There are several locking mechanisms that keep most of the moved armor panels in place. However, there are a few panels that will almost always close when handling, and that would be the additional thrusters on the backpack and back skirt. It’s not a big deal, but can be a slight nuisance at times.

In terms of features and equipment, the RG Banshee Norn boasts an impressive array of armed armors and beam weaponry. There are the Armed Armors XC and DE, attached to the backpack and shield respectively and providing increased offensive and defensive capabilities. In addition to the Beam Magnum, there is the underslung multi-ordinance revolving launcher which can deploy a beam jutte, and 4 total beam sabers - 2 stored on the Armed Armor XC and 2 mounted as deployable tonfas.

I’ve had this kit for a few months now, and it’s probably one of the top best looking OOB builds I have. Highly recommended. Hopefully I can get my hands on that P-Bandai equipment expansion set.
