Aa! Andy I hate to be a bother and I see you've gotten some messages over that, but I just got kind of excited because we are in the same boat. My grandfather is full Romani, and everyone in the family looks like him except for me! I feel so out of place with my blonde hair when everyone else in my family has dark hair and tan skin. Sorry, this ask was kind of stupid and has no meaning, but I just haven't really met anyone who is like me, you know?
Andy: It does create a sense of isolation, doesn’t it? But my grandmother has a great phrase that she uses whenever my brother and I feel out of place. There is a place for everything, and everything in its place.
She says its a proverb for tidiness but for those of many types of families, it still works.
There is a place for everyone and everyone is in their place.
