I've always been drawn to stories that depict Marco's suffering in the aftermath of Marineford, but I mean, not the stories where Ace miraculously comes back to life or where he heals like any mentally sound adult.
What I like are the stories that portray how a part of Marco died at Marineford along with his father, stories that illustrate how difficult it is for him to simply keep breathing.
Because, in my mind, when we talk about Marco – a man who lost so much in such a short span of time – we're talking about someone who, no matter how hard he tries, is inevitably going to have lasting scars; possibly a man who will experience survivor's guilt on an unprecedented level.
Idk, please, someone write a story about a delirious Marco who keeps seeing his father in the reflections of mirrors and who sees his dead brothers in his nightmares.
