Barbaric: The Long Death #3 (Vault Comics, April 2026) variant cover by Jim Mahfood
The fact that "I'm waiting for that feeling to come" Tender was written by Damon right before meeting Suzi, and "i have lost the feeling that I thought I'd never lose" Barbaric was written about his breakup with her is so agonizing. He's talking about the same feeling in both songs. They're two sides of the same coin, the beginning and the end of the same story
Based on the hit Vault Comics series, ‘Barbaric’ follows a cursed warrior, a talking axe, and a young witch.
No cast members are officially locked in yet. Sam Claflin was previously attached to play the barbarian when the project first entered development in 2024, and Patrick Stewart was attached to voice the talking axe. But Netflix says those deals still haven’t been finalized, so neither actor is officially confirmed right now. Claflin is still involved behind the scenes as an executive producer through Soft Claw Productions, alongside Luke Carroll and Michael Stevenson. So even if he doesn’t end up swinging the axe himself, he’s still helping bring the series together.
WHY ARE THEY SAYING THIS, I took it for granted that if the series will happen, it will be Sam in the main role and not another actor. I don't care that he's an exec producer, I want him playing the character!!! Why would I want anyone else playing it???
Stop being so wishy-washy about it and fucking confirm it, I CANNOT take any more disappointments.
