My friend and I are once again having a heated debate about the stone roses. He senses heavy Led Zeppelin influence, whereas I feel like they’re just as influenced as any blues rock band. Can’t deny that Led Zeppelin left a mark on all music bands. But he says specifically that the song Tears is heavily influenced by Led Zepp musically (that’s to say, not so much the lyrics or the themes). Do any of you feel the same way/have information or context for that song ? Like has the band ever spoken about it ?
