Squats!!!
There’s something I haven’t done in a long time, barbell squats.
Ladies and Gentlemen, today’s PSA is don’t skip leg day. Also, if you go heavy, don’t forget your knee wraps. Perhaps I should’ve eased back into this.
So, as you might have guessed, I’m currently walking like the Tin Man. Hammies and Glutes are on fire. Thankfully, my ass isn’t burning in the sense of having “hot like the old country” Thai food. Nonetheless, walking is going to be difficult today.
Now, if only I had a massage therapist on call, I could use a rubdown.
anyone here do weightlifting and also use a belt for deadlifts and squats? coz 1) i wanna know how much y’all lifting 2) when did u start using a belt 3) any recommendations for a belt?
and any tips/experience from straining ur lower back or improvement etc
Hard body, soft mind.
By the power of the Barbell Squats, I HAVE THE BUTT!
Pop, Lock and Drop It!
I’ve been stepping up my squat game thanks to my postnatal trainer with barbells. Squats are a must do exercise for everyone because it works your entire body. That’s right. It works your shoulders, back, core, quads, glutes, hamstrings & calves.
Squats also help reduce your risk of injury while increasing power, speed, mobility & flexibility which is essential for me since I’m an athlete.
And Barbell squats kicks things up a notch because the added weight forces your muscles to work harder which translates into more gains.
Since I started base training I need to ensure that my body stays strong and injury free so I can run.
So my goal is to add 3 sets of 15 reps of barbell squats to my workout routine at least twice a week.
