I have spoken before about individual Barbie releases where she was a pilot or flight attendant - as well as both Ken and Chelsea as pilots -and the Glamor Jet as a part of the Pink Passport range.
But there are other Barbie planes too that I think are worth discussing!
The Dreamplane was a tie-in for Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, and appears to depict a private plane flown by Barbie with two seats for her closest friends.
A variation on this concept was the Fisher Price Barbie Little Dream Plane by Little People (that's a mouthful) which has a broadly similar design and a name that indicates that it's the same concept, but features a rounder and friendlier design with a happy face on the front.
These are very recent examples - but the concept goes back further. For example, in the late 90s we have a Barbie Airplane which features Kelly and Tommy as Pilot Barbie's passengers.
...as well as one for the adults.
Functionally the same design, except with one being marketed around jetsetting children while the other focuses more on the adult dolls.
