This is mainly Bard centric in general but I’ve always headcanoned aside from being canonically spooked by snakes, the poor 40 something is NOT into horror media at all, even just aesthetical stuff like fake blood decoration stuff. SO like.... EVERYONE ELSE he knows closely: Mey Rin, Sebastian, Lau, Ran Mao, Grelle, Ronald, even the KIDS o!ciel and siggy and surprisingly Lizzy, are 100% INTO HORROR.
The man cannot catch a break when the latest horror film or show or game comes out and it is ALL EVERYONE ELSE TALKS ABOUT, and eventually gets him to check out with them, specifically/especially the movies when still in theaters.
And to top it off the easiest ones to convince him to go are likely a lover like Lau or Grelle, as they CAKE ON the pleading and whining and clinging to him because he’s their big strong handsome protector~ against the fictional scary~ monsters or bad guys killing the victims in the movies! 🥺
He doesn’t exactly “fall for it” but he begrudgingly gives in to stop their fake pleading htdfukgiuh and proceeds to regret it once they’re at the theater proper and he has to sit through an hour of goddamned jump scares and gruesome graphic kills and/or torture scenes.. UGHH 😫
(Also it gives his lover an opportunity to see the cute big guy squirm >:3 )
