The Ousting Of The Orcs - A Bardic Tale
When a Great Dragon lands in the centre of the Jagh Clan's territory they have no choice but to fight. - The Ousting Of The Orcs - A Bardic Tale #flashfiction #fantasy #fiction
This is the tale of the mightiest foe the Jagh Clan have faced. It descended as a cloud, formless vapour to mighty body. Warrior's Dilemma
For her hand he'll fight and war
Until the foes charge him no more
Though he has saved all of the land
How can she hold his blood soaked hands
A warrior's life is brutal and cold
But honor and glory when story's told
-
He rides through night, he'll ride all day
No peace to be found wherever he lay
Champion of virtue and slayer of kings
He bows and he weeps when he hears bards sing
Has not he earned a measure of love?
He'll war and he'll war until it's enough
-
Now a grown man, so mighty and tall
Though no maiden hears his heart broken call
Alone now he rides through ghostly old moors
The challenge of foes he tries to ignore
He's lost all his courage, the nerve of his steel
For womanly comfort he shall never feel
-
But fight on, fight on our warrior brave
You'd greatly be honored in previous age
Feel not despair, weep not for what's lost
For reward is waiting, just pay the cost
The Gods shall send a maiden to you
Filled with beauty and grace, to be ever true
Endure the hardships, conquer your woes
They'll wound you greater than any known foe
