saw the OC ask- Flowering Almond and Hemp for Conductor? and a little bundle of Garden Chervil and Imperial Montague for Fireman, too
Flowering Almond: what is their hope?
He loves his job, but he fantasizes about being the leader of a 1930s-style big band someday. He even has a name picked out - Terminal Station, after the former Southern Railway station in Chattanooga.
Hemp: do they believe in fate?
He's more of a "take things as they come" guy unless there's potential to be running late, in which case he starts panicking, but he does think if anything was fate, it was getting paired with Engineer to run the specific line they run. They work so well together and are so compatible in their communication styles that they run significantly more efficiently than anyone else in the company. It allays his fears about lateness because Engie is extremely determined to make it on time no matter what she has to do or how fast she has to go, and he's into it a bit more than he realizes at first...
Garden Chervil: how sincere are they?
Actually, surprisingly honest - she lacks a filter and tends to say whatever's on her mind. She actually suspects she may have ADHD but was missed due to being a girl.
She is not, however, sincere when she is hustling people at billiards at the hotel when the crew is at the away terminal. (She uses the money she earns doing this to pay for the crew's dinner.)
Imperial Montague: how powerful are they?
Easily the physically strongest member of the main cast due to shoveling coal for 8 hours a day. She can pick anyone up and carry them around if she wants to. Beneath the duster she wears to keep herself remotely dust-free she's absolutely jacked, although this image doesn't depict that very well.
