I started watching it this weekend in the afternoon and accidentally watched it all. By the end, it was late and I wished I'd put on a few more lamps and nightlights. Scary, but so very good!

it’s the sort of story you can’t just stop watching. It’s not long till dark now though, soooo I’ll just be putting on the lights. I’m on episode 4 so I guess I’ve got another 4 hours to go.

11. Favorite nonfiction history book: Ooooh that’s hard. I like A Midwife’s Tale, In the Heart of the Sea, Puritans at Play, Paul Revere’s Ride, the list goes on...

6. HF I never expected to like as much as I do: John Hancock. He’s usually depicted as being sort of prissy and lacking personality, when he’s depicted at all. But he knew how to get shit done. Also his wife Dolly was pretty badass.

7. HF I never expected to dislike as much as I do: Thomas Jefferson. And honestly he is also my favorite historical figure. But overexposure means that everyone gangs up on him as the son of Satan and it feels difficult to study him as a person and I hate that.

almost!  @dollsahoy sewed these, and she had just enough of that fabric for 2 different trousers.  these are the wide ones.  nothing else would fit over his non-removable boots.

Ever since I read your post about the possible parallels between the Resurrection Gauntlet and the resurrection of Ashildr, I have been on a Torchwood rewatching binge. I whipped through series one & I've just watched S2, episode 1. I can't stop myself. Are you happy?

Yes, actually. Rewatch ALL the Who, that’s my strategy.

DVR DW and watch the game live. If I ever try to record a sporting event to watch later, inevitably some c*nt will tell me the score! ;-)

Just got on my Dash and there you were, making me smile. Google for our houses! I wish. How about internal Google? Perfect for those times our own memory fails us. Actually, that might be scary!

no but this is actually my plan for when i’m older.  they better have in-brain searching and memory backup before i get dementia.  (that runs in my family on both sides, so...)
