Asian hillstream
You little bastards
No more plants for you
Some inhabitants of the Hillstream: Dawkinsia tambraparniei, Barilius canarensis, Notropis chrosomus
The hillstream. Barils and Rainbow Shiners.
A couple of the new barbs are really bold.
Think I’ve finally ID-ed the Barilius spp.
Going with B. bakeri and B. gatensis...really difficult to find solid info on these guys, and there seem to be two forms of the B. bakeri. Will need to look into that more.
Endless list of aquatic creatures I’d love to keep:
97. All Barilius sp., aka anyone from the Barilius genus
I know I only posted about these yesterday, but I actually found some today! At least 2 different species: B. bakeri, definitely, and I’m working on the second...depends upon which ID images I look at. The closest I can get is B. ardens, but the striping seems a little too narrow to me, and the colours aren’t quite right. I dunno. They’re settling well, though, and are super feisty!
