I was helping observe and tidy some biotopes in Shibuya yesterday and found this tiny fish. Even the tiniest little living things can be so strikingly beautiful, i was very moved by it.

(Sorry for the lack of art, i have been working very hard on client work and sadly haven't had much energy for my own work. <3 )

I forgot to show Tumblr the state of the pond!

The spring at the bottom is still putting out about a litre a minute. This year I'm working on planting the extremely boggy soil around the perimeter.

The left side where you can see the ericaceous soil is about 30 cranberry dicisions, the store was selling them in fruit last year as Christmas decorations.

Far side is a fern that was growing in the canal that I tossed in (the amphipods are eating EVERYTHING in the water), and then variegated Acorus calumnus, variegated Typha latifolia, smaller cattail Typha orientalis, and Iris x louisiana "Black Gamecock".

The Petasites japonica on the right put itself there.
