Barkada Trip (2005)
I remember this show pops up from morning until evening on Studio 23, especially during in timeslots reserved for anime and youth-oriented shows. It's one of few locally made animation in our country in 2000s. "Barkada Trip" is a Flash-oriented, short anime that shows about a group of friends doing funny situations in their neighborhood. The character design is akin in chibi form and has anime influence. It was released around in 2005 and they became the mascots in Studio 23 a year later. Aside from animation, one of the most memorable thing about it is that is has a great roster of soundtracks performed by some indie local bands like Kiko Machine and Aizo. The show lasted until early 2010s, perhaps that was the time Studio 23 was starting to revamp its shows to cater other audiences.
This is such a great show. I fondly remember this showed up during anime marathons every weekday afternoons.
