They are rescuing dogs and cats from the streets of NY and pulling animals from euthanasia list at ACC. Have You Ever Wondered Things That Your Dog Can Learn?

Barkloudly resident canine officer, Rani is expert at getting socks of your feet - only if you trust your precious toes to her beautiful teeth. 

Rani is expert at this. She does this most of the days after I come back home from work: I guess one less thing to do for me. Besides, she loves the socks. 

After the 'exercise', she gets a treat. Woof! Woof!

Only 4 days left to October end. October is the National Adopt a Shelter Dog month. Greetings card companies have not jumped on to this one yet - you can. Dogs are special animals, and there are many million homeless dogs now in shelters and rescues, just waiting for you to take them home and save them from possible euthanasia.

We are in tough economic times. Million of people do not have jobs and millions others are underpaid. This affects how families make decisions. Lot of families are giving up their dog to animal shelters and rescues.

The average annual cost of maintaining a pet dog could be north of $2000 and pet ownership have dropped by 2.5% in last 4-5 years across USA. Annual cost to U.S. taxpayers to impound, shelter, euthanize, and dispose of homeless animals: $2 billion.

We see problems everywhere - from overcrowding and overwhelming paperwork at shelters and rescues to dropping rates in adoptions and fostering and high rate of 'returns' due to increased cost of maintaining a dog; from people being disinterested in adopting due to convoluted processes involved to lack of any technical innovation in this space.

We created a couple of postcards for sharing with your friends to let them know that now is the time to change.
