Drummer Vince Ely had left the band after Forever Now (released in September 1982) and was replaced by producer Keith Forsey (who had written "Flashdance. . .What a Feeling"), who provided drums on all but 2 tracks on Mirror Moves (Tommy Price played drums on "Here Come Cowboys" and "Heaven").
