Tonight was supposed to be my quarterly chess match with Wig, but I convinced him we should instead play cards with Chlope, Bear, and he also invited Ben Davis. (Chlope recently completed optometry school in Oklahoma and moved back to central Arkansas.) I was the big winner, which would not have been the case had Wig and I played chess--this year my brain has been exhausted from having taken on too many projects. I’m doing my best to complete my current projects and not take on any more, but that sort of behavior goes against my nature, so I’m struggling.

I had to miss last year’s Ragin’ Cajun, an annual fundraiser for CARTI, but I’m back at it now. Apparently, they moved the event from the River Market to War Memorial Stadium while I was gone, but Barrett and Sarah are still basically running things so it’ll probably turn out alright. Bring on the crawfish.
