"Barrier Aggression" is my multi-part explanation and analysis of my concerns regarding the National Council on Severe Autism, a non-profit group I personally consider far worse than Autism Speaks, which has senselessly defamed and attacked innocent autistic people, all while claiming to be friends and allies to the disabled.

Their high ranking members publish messages so extreme that their targeted ridicule and derision of allegedly falsely autistic people includes specific individuals who they KNOW to be clinically diagnosed by professionals.

Their "advocacy" includes proposed schemes to re-diagnose autistic people who they find to be inappropriately successful with "personality disorders", and their president considers the clinical recognition of ASD-1 a "violent absurdity" against her own autistic kids.

BARRIER AGGRESSION № 13 | "Cancelling" High Functioning Autism

The National Council on Severe Autism uses the phrase "severe autism" to communicate the crisis faced by neurodevelopmentally disabled people with the most resource intensive support needs, who are most isolated in terms of communication with the non-disabled world, and whose deservingness to be understood and provided for are most frequently overlooked.

Regardless of anyone's opinion of the appropriateness or accuracy of the phrase "severe autism", the National Council on Severe Autism is certainly full of crap for using the phrase "severe autism" to drum up support for their agenda, while simultaneously publishing messages claiming that there is no such thing as non-severe autism, and that those autistics considered "lower support needs" or "high functioning" under the DSM V should instead be re-diagnosed with PERSONALITY DISORDERS.

National Council on Severe Autism president Jill Escher needs to understand that if the concept non-severe autism isn't real, than neither is the severe autism she wants people to donate tax-free money to her group in order to address.

BARRIER AGGRESSION № 1 Dog With Autism Speaks Out Against Karens

Jill Escher is like a reverse alchemist who turns gold into lead.

Organizing to help disabled people should be the least objectionable humanitarian cause anyone could possibly dedicate themselves to, and yet Jill and some of the members and supporters from her National Council on Severe Autism have managed to be spiteful and full of shit in every possible dimension of their approach to autism advocacy by challenging the legitimacy of disabled people who they see as less sympathetic than their own autistic children and patients.

To confront these harmful attitudes and behaviors, I'll be using high/low functioning labels and other language interchangeably with terms preferred by the disability community. I'll also be referencing historical conceptualizations of disability from obsolete diagnostic manuals, and will be discussing prejudice, abuse, bigotry, and lethal mental health outcomes.

I'll also be cursing a whole fucking lot, because these people are biscuit bumping bunny-stampers that deserve to be cursed about, though it also remains true that no one should contact or harass the people I'm criticizing for any reason. My videos are NOT a call to attack the NCSA and it's members, they are a call to spread the word to SEVERELY ignore them unless they can effect some miraculous reforms to themselves in response to these concerns, which set back ALL autistic people.

I hope my project can raise awareness of wrongdoing against disabled people of many descriptions.

BARRIER AGGRESSION № 2 Autistic Mob Forces Sia ASD Diagnosis?

I don't care about Sia, and the fact that I consider the singer's approach to publicizing her professionally administered Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis to be grandiose, gratuitous, and poorly considered, AT BEST, does nothing to change the fact that Sia's choices in how she discusses her neurodevelopmental diagnostic history are entirely her own business.

I'd rather not have had to spend 90 minutes talking about a pop culture icon I have zero interest in, but since Jill Escher of the National Council on Severe Autism decided to use Sia's ASD diagnosis as an excuse to ridicule autistic people she sees as being too talented, creative, and competent to have a neurodevelopmental disability, I'm going to have to dismantle this nonsense piece by piece.

Another Barrier Aggression goes up tomorrow.

As of a week ago they're all finished at this point. I'm just spacing them out the the sake of not overwhelming the couple of people who've been watching them.

I really have put my life on hold for closing in on two years for this project.

I just felt like I was in a unique opportunity to get outspokenly angry over these things in a responsible way while giving a detailed explanation that was immune to the typical oppositional talking points.

BARRIER AGGRESSION № 18 | "NCSA Vs. Spectrum News"

The National Council on Severe Autism (NCSA) accuses Spectrum News, a neurodevelopmental disability news feed platformed on The Transmitter, of being a propaganda outfit that churns out biased articles that attack the legitimacy and visibility of autistic people the NCSA describes severe cases.

Given that the NCSA read only the first 9% of a Spectrum article about lower support needs autistic people facing workplace discrimination and presented that out of context to be a hit piece that spread prejudice against the autistic children and patients of NCSA members, I somehow don't find them trustworthy.

Given that Spectrum previously provided rather favorable coverage of NCSA president Jill Escher, I examine this group's current beef with Spectrum News and examine whether or not there's something deeper potentially at play.

I really can't tell you how SICK I am of getting feedback from people WHO NEVER WATCHED MY VIDEOS that my Barrier Aggression videos aren't getting any views because "they're too long and people want 30 second cat videos these days not hours long movies on disability stuff" when Ember Green posts two and a half hour long video essays about autism that get hundreds of thousands of views.

I'm not trying to claim my videos are actually any good, I'm just saying that I'm sick of the bad feedback.
