the teams struggles are certainly wearing on me but i feel like it’s the constant melodrama of tumblr and other social media sites that are making me distance myself from the team i grew up loving, not their rough season, and that’s bumming me out.
You hit the nail LITERALLY right on the head. It's not even the team--I know them and know who they are. It IS the constant melodrama, the "this is the worst game/streak/season ever ever ever and nothing will get better ever ever ever," the way they talk about the players they supposedly love (I think folks think Lucic needs assistance just to use the bathroom at this point, they think he's so dumb), the constant looking on the dark side even when good things happen, the GENERAL ACTING A FOOL...that is what's distancing me as well. I am bummed out too. Let us hug and understand the feelings.

After over 20 years of knowing my wife, I have learned that there are two sure fire things that will get her to laugh when they are on TV: 1) a random showing of The Jerk on late night cable, and 2) The Barry Gibb Talk Show skit on SNL.
Thankfully, among all of the last minute holiday hustle and bustle we had going on in our house this past weekend, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon delivered. Enjoy -- and be careful taking that selfie with a skeleton.
