Whenever I go on a run or walk, I pass this pond in my neighborhood. Almost every time I pass, there's a blue heron standing still and hunting by some part of the shore (can I call it a shore??? idk). Recently, there's been a bunch of vultures in the area now, and I haven't seen the little guy in a few days. Today, when I was on my run, I saw him perched on a fucking roof.

I was suddenly reminded that even when the world around you seems to change and feel too full or busy, take one from the heron and stay patient. Sit on that roof and look down to the chaos below you, knowing that you'll get your pond back once again.
