Dancing with Fire
I once danced with Fire,
No burns, just desire
That inspires, calls me, beckons
Leaves me wanting more, seconds
I tried to tease the flame
But it struck, impossible to tame
It bit, it scratched, it hit
Left me marks until I submit
You took the lead, lead the dance
Didn’t leave anything to chance
Placed my head, where you need it
Blew on the flame, the wind feeds it
Blew so much, the flame roared
Thrashing, moving, until it soared
Grabbing me, and pinning me down
Unable to move, with flames around
Unable to move, or make a sound
On the ground, tethered, bound
Locked in place, in an embrace
Touching my neck, my face
When I whisper in your ear
Your whimper I can hear
You told me to be quiet, to hush
That night, found out fire can blush
