I don't post wild plants or plants from outside my own home but I just have to share these because there are not enough photos of these and they are absolutely gorgeous.
I have been waiting all year to see these again.

The Bartlettina sordida (purple torch, blue mist flower) comes from the cloud forests of Mexico. In the U.K. it is a tender plant, not able to survive the cold winters, and so was flowering in the glasshouses of Cambridge Botanic Gardens, UK. This evergreen shrub has strong stems and large leaves about 20cms long. In spring large pale purple flower heads are produced with a fragrance of lilac and honey.
