Basbousa with Cream
Another Ramadan so here is another basbousa recipe. This one doesn’t have coconut, yoghurt or cream in the batter.
½ cup oil
½ cup semolina, fine ½ cup sugar
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon baking powder 1 tablespoon vanilla
The cream filling:
2 cup water
2/3 milk powder
1/3 cup sugar
72g cream cheese or 4 squares of Kiri cheese
4 tablespoons of corn flour
1 can of cream
Cook the cream filling on medium heat until thickenes
Mix in the dry ingredients then add the wet. Pour half the batter. Spread the cream mixture on top then pour the other half of the batter and bake for 30 mintues or until it is done.
