chrissy6930 Carina Stairs - 7 Versions - Recolorable - Plus

This set has 7 versions of the Carina Stairs (Recolorable), minus the underneath, with matching Rails, Base Board and Crown Molding. Recolors include: black, cherry, dark wood, green, gray, jequitiba, light wood, old wood and white. The original posting can be found at The Sims Resource (TSR).  Due to apparent website updates, the posting at TSR has since lost the txt file information, which is required to install the Carina Stairs. However, CaptainJack has recovered the txt file for the posting here, with original (package) files from TSR. Scriptorium is required to install these stairs.

NOTE: Installation instructions for recolorable modular stairs:

1.  Make sure you have the Scriptorium installed.  You can find the Scriptorium at Mod The Sims 2.

2.  Follow the Scriptorium’s instructions to install the text (txt) file to your game. The txt file you are looking for is labeled “711_Through_717_CarinaStairs”, and will be found within the same folder with the (package) files.

3.  After installing the txt file in the location determined by the Scriptorium’s instructions, then add the stair mesh and the recolors, (package) files, into your “Downloads” folder.

Application instructions for associated recolors:

While in your game, place the stairs from the catalog – in the default color – on your lot. Add the railings, if you want them now, as the stairs once recolored will revert back to their default color, if you place the railings later on. However, this is only temporary, as saving your lot, exiting and re-entering will show the stairs in your chosen color again. Now choose the ‘design tool’. Moving your mouse over the stairs will highlight single steps. Click on each step, and a new window will pop up with all installed color options showing up. Enjoy!
