This blog is to encourage everyone to end bullying now! I'm using this blog as a tool to reach out to anyone, and everyone, who has ever faced bullying; whether it be face-to-face bullying or cyber-bullying.
Bullying needs to stop. People who bully others need to put themselves in their victims' position and realize that what they say DOES HURT.
Victims need to stand up for themselves! Don't you let anyone push you around. Tell a parent, tell a trusted adult, tell your teacher, tell your coach, tell your principal, tell the police, tell EVERYONE what is going on. You need to be heard. And, if they won't listen, at first, just keep telling your story! Don't let yourself stay silent. Don't let yourself be defeated.
YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN THEIR WORDS.
What people say in elementary school, middle school, and high school WILL NOT MATTER when you're older! NEVER let anyone get in the way of who you want to be. You have your whole future ahead of you! Don't let some jerks take you away from living your life! Don't let anyone dictate who you are, and who you will become.
YOU ARE IMPORTANT.
When you feel at your lowest, surround yourself with people who love you. Do not isolate yourself and allow the sorrow and hate to consume you. Hug your parents, hug your best friend, hug you pet! Do whatever it takes to put yourself back into a positive environment. There are people who care aboout you! There are people who love you!
DON'T BE SELFISH.
When you think about hurting yourself. When you think about taking your own life. Think about the people you would be hurting. Think about the people who will miss you when you're gone. Think about your loved ones who will blame themselves, every single day, because they couldn't stop you from taking your life. Think about the horror in their faces when they find you; lifeless. Don't be selfish! You think you're solving your problems by taking your life. BUT, you're leaving more problems than you ever could have imagined!
PICK UP A HOBBY.
Instead of hurting yourself when you feel low, do something else! Write a story, write a poem, write a song, paint a picture, read a book, play a sport, play a game, exercise, blog, get a pet, buy a punching bag! Just, please, don't harm yourself!
IT DOES GET BETTER.
I promise you. It does.
