Ŧ - Thriller [[Because I stalk your blog and I want to RP with you...]]
Having one's subconscious hacked was not something that he'd ever considered a risk in his time. In that he was probably antiquated - believing that the mind, even at sleep, was something sacred. Defiling it was like turning a man inside-out and calling it art, or selling his body and calling it profit.
Vigilance could only go so far as a one-man-army. With no allies and a world of enemies, there were only so many weeks he could go with minimal sleep before his body demanded reprieve. But finding an incorruptible partner in crime was not something that was an easy task, especially when one considered the likelihood that work would have to be done in tandem.
And the kind of work that Khan did, organizing the plunder of men's minds, would require a deep level of cooperation and understanding. In their day and age that required dream-sharing, which Khan had been careful to strictly avoid.
But as the weeks wore on and his veneer wore thin, he knew that he would have to act on his searches soon. The job offers he'd given, though few, had so far resulted no yield. And if one of the men did not respond to him soon, he would have to turn his gazes elsewhere, and likely leave his back exposed in the process.
