If this moment was the last second I ever got to live, I’d be okay with it. If my entire life and whole world narrowed to this, standing on the perfect green pitch, watching Simon Snow sing at me with an entire stadium of supporters as backup, I’d die happy.

A/N: Hi...
So I have been worried about this fic ever since I woke up on Remix Pairing day and saw who I got. Not gonna lie, I was massively intimidated by the task at hand. Like how do I go about remixing for essentially the Wayne Gretzky of Carry On fic writing?
Then I remembered The Pitch series... I REALLY loved those fics, and I enjoy a really good sports story in general.
I grew up watching sports, I played rugby in high school... I will still get distracted by a really good match on the TV.
I also LOVED hockey as a kid... The hockey culture turned me off of the sport, but this fic has rekindled that love again...
So I thought, why not take The Pitch series, essentially an Ode to English Football, and turn it into an Ode to Hockey? Sport fic for a Sport fic?
And... because I'm a person that loves to complicate things, why not make it as Canadian as I possibly can?

Do you ever open your browser to look something up, but it opens in the middle of a fic? Possibly one that you’ve already read 3 times already? But you read it again, because it’s just there, with it’s tawny skin and moles. And suddenly you’ve not only forgotten the thing you were looking up, but you’re late for work/school etc. but that’s ok because it was totally worth it.
