okay, real talk kids - did no one ever teach you basic fandom courtesy? you do NOT tag character hate with that character's tag. that's so incredibly disrespectful & terrible etiquette. were you raised in a fucking barn??

a hint for you numbskulls: "# (character) critical" is actually very easy & keeps your vitriolic bullshit from being shoved down fans' throats constantly

It really disturbs me out how most of the *new* sansan content and shippers seem to be mostly about a weird sexual fetish thing or dubcon/noncon :/

My answer is that, even if you or I find something disturbing, squicky, or even triggering, our response is really about our own individual life experiences and tastes; it doesn't reflect badly on the fans who write, draw or enjoy it at all. Shipping is as much for the fans who like things that I don't as it is for me is a motto that's served me well.

Sansan's a community with wide varieties of tastes; it's not my place to judge. The sansan community is really good about tagging, so it never hurts to reach out and ask someone to tag a specific squick or trigger if need be. Just be polite, and don't say things like: "Can you tag your perverted kink posts?" Tagging is a courtesy; and the other fans are always able to say they prefer not to tag. If they do, just block and move on.

Sansan, like most ships, goes through phases: I've seen the dub/noncon and fetish fics do this multiple times. As well as fluff, babies, modern au, KL aus, Queen Sansa, post Quiet Isle Sandor, and time travel au stories. It's all fine. It's just not necessarily for everyone. And that's OK. We just have to tag and block accordingly.

When your asks begin with “It really disturbs me out how most of the *new* sansan content…” just know that that they come from scared j0nsas crying about sansan in your inbox again. They have no idea what content *new* sansan fans create and don’t really care, they just want us to feel insecure (just like they are themselves) and feel like we don’t belong (like they feel) lmao. Just ignore such asks. Peace and love 💕

Thanks for the heads up. I've been completely clueless - I haven't kept up with the latest "j@nsas vs the rest of fandom" drama and I've blocked most of the ones who I've seen shit-stir. Now that I know, I won't engage.

How do you not go insane when people spam San/sa Tags with jn///sa? Idk if you like that ship but i am genuinely tired, i just want to appreciate my girl

I also post sansan content in Sansa’s tag, so it's easy for me to understand posting ships in the main character tags. It's all good.

Daensa, Sansa x Wyllas, Theonsa, Sansaery, Jonrya and Creepyshippers in my experience are all very nice and easy to get along with, even if we don't ship the same things. They respect my squicks, and I do the same. We tag appropriately. So I am happy to share the Sansa tag with other shippers.

I'm pretty ambivalent about J@nsa as a ship. With the unintended chemistry between the actors, it doesn’t surprise me. And some of the Jonsa shippers make beautiful edits.

My biggest peeve is a certain segment of the shippers who deliberately shit stir with everyone else. The whole "which ship is actually incest" arguments and comparisons made between real life sexual violence and other ships is especially gross to me as well. And the infighting among Sansa and Daenerys and Arya fans is just out of control.

Basic fandom etiquette and decency is to not harass real life people over which fictional characters you want to see kiss. No one has more right to these characters or fandoms, and I stand by that. I won't engage with anyone who can't or won't behave themselves, regardless of what they ship. So I block the shit stirrers and just enjoy the rest of the content, and remind myself that fandoms are communities and scroll past things whenever I feel annoyed.

no offense to the ppl who wrote these things, I’m sure you all meant no harm and were just expressing your feelings freely, but these kind of comments I could very much do without.

you don’t go to a fanfic and comment “it should have been this ship instead” or “you should have added this character to the ship”, so why would you do it on someone’s fanart?

these comments at best make me feel just kinda deflated

like I drew the ships I wanted to draw and I’m not gonna change it just because you complain about it. I might have drawn these ships had they’ve been sent as requests in my ask box, because I do like these ships, but seeing this as comments on a fanart post just isn’t doing anyone any favors.
