Let’s talk about Photoshop
I’m no Photoshp expert. I can do very basic stuff with photos because I’ve only taken classes on using Photoshop for crafting, however I do know that the resolution of the photo makes a huge difference when you are zooming and trying to analyze a photo. This is where the ccers screw up every time.
Let’s take a photo from Darren’s Instagram that was taken by a professional photographer using a professional digital camera with great resolution.
I can put that pic in Photoshop and zoom in a lot and still be able to see Darren’s individual beard hairs
Let’s look at a photo I took with my iPhone X. This is my daughter’s bunny- yes he is freaking adorable. Side note- I was pissed when she said she was getting him. She had a rabbit years ago and she got really bored of him. But this thing is so cute and she loves hi so much I just can’t help but adore him. This photo wasn’t uploaded to Instagram.
If I zoom in much more it just becomes a mess of colors.
Now let’s look at the photo from Mia’s Instram that Joey screen captured and reposted. I don’t know what kind of cellphone took the photo but I am sure it was a recent model iPhone or Android.
scroll in and you get mush right away.
keep going and it’s unreadable. I zoomed into the professional shot- the first pic above- way more than I did this pic.
In fact I went back and did some screencaps
This image shows it is zoomed in 34%
This image is zoomed in 336%
This is 74%
This is 376%. The resolution is profoundly worse.
My point is only that zooming in and trying to analyze a grainy, cellphone pic that has been screencapped, re-uploaded, downloaded and then put into a photo-editing program doesn’t provide great information. Claiming the JetSki photo shows darker, thicker beard hair, or weird belly hair or a too-small hand from THAT photo is dumb and not at all accurate. This photo shows a very happy Darren and Mia in a position that indicates the intimacy of a couple. Trying to disprove that by looking deeply for blobs or weird belly hair is a fruitless effort. They are humiliating themselves.
