In June, 2018, 12 teenaged boys and their football/soccer coach went missing in a labyrinth of caves in Thailand. They left their bikes and backpacks outside the caves before they entered. Unfortunately, the caves became flooded and the team was trapped. Fortunately, the caves were a regular hangout for teens so that's where the community started their search after finding the bikes and backpacks. The team took some snacks and flashlights with them. They were found, alive, ten days later. How did they survive? [Video] Professional Cavers say the main things to survive underground are to stay calm, warm and hydrated. Avoid danger from falling rocks and find the highest point in the cave in case of flooding. Be prepared. The most simple, innocent events can turn into tragedy without notice. In this case, basic survival supplies could have helped but letting someone know where they were going, and when they would return, would have been even better.
